Great Halloween yard lighting is surprisingly simple.

This year I tried the Ourleeme lawn flood lights which are LED and can be switched to different colors with the included remote. Inexpensive on Amazon. I just stake them into the lawn and point up at the creature. You can also pay a bit more for the kaleidoscope version to mix things up. Low angle beam focused on the face of the creature always looks spookiest!
